Peter Schneider, Founder & Principal

     Over the course of 20 years, Peter Schneider served as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director at three major universities: Boston University, University of Texas-Austin and University of Massachusetts-Boston. He has also served as the Interim EHS Director at Dartmouth College, Northeastern University and Wellesley College. As an EHS Director and as an environmental consultant, Peter has conducted numerous compliance audits, peer reviews, gap analysis and program assessments at colleges and universities in both the US and abroad.
     He taught environmental management, hazardous material policy and sustainabilty at Tufts University, Boston University and the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Peter taught Environmental Management and Sustainability at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) in the School for the Environment and in 2018 he was appointed a Professor of Practice. ​
     Peter is an experienced mediator and facilitator. In 2019 he was awarded a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Management from the UMB Graduate School of Public Policy and Global Studies. He is also the past president of the Campus Consortium for Environmental Excellence (C2E2) and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Campus Safety Health and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA)

Suzanne Howard, Senior Consultant

​Suzanne is the former Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Wellesley College and Boston College. She also has over a decade of experience as a consultant providing a wide range of EHS services in support of regulatory  requirements and best practices. Suzanne holds a Masters in Public Health and a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

Dan Winograd

​Dan Winograd has unique experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). He has conducted EHS compliance audits and regulatory reviews, delivered a variety of trainings and developed EHS management systems for colleges and universities, medical centers, and research facilities.​Before becoming an independent consultant, Dan was an Enforcement Attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in-house Environmental Counsel at MIT  and a Project Manager and principal in the compliance group at Woodard & Curran, handling compliance and regulatory matters under federal and state environmental laws and regulations.
​Dan is a certified International Standards Organization (ISO) 14000 lead auditor, and a trained mediator and facilitator. He earned a Juris Doctor, Law degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, Harvard University.

May Hulsman is a Project Assistant with Schneider Consulting based in the Philadelphia area. She is a former Building Safety Manager at Northeastern University who has worked in EHS for 3 years. Her work has included lab inspections, incident response, drafting corrective and preventative actions, chemical exposure sampling, and respiratory protection program management. May holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
